Tennis Director Midtown Athletic Club Rochester
As National Junior Tennis Manager, Laramie gets to work with the 8 clubs in Midtown’s tennis family as they look to improve their programming standards and quality of services to increase participation. Hosting trainings with each club’s Junior Directors, as well as staff professionals, he is able to do what he enjoys most about tennis; assist in the development of other coaches.
Beyond his National role with Midtown’s Junior Programs, Laramie also serves as the Director of Racquet Sports at the Rochester location. There, his team of 16 coaches delivers programming in tennis, platform, squash and pickleball. Junior tennis stands out above the rest though, as the team has worked tirelessly to develop a complete program offering that brings attention from across the country.
Outside of Midtown, Laramie is involved with Evolve9, USPTA, PTR, and serves as a National Clinician on several programs for the USTA. He recently had a chance to attend a training by the United States Center for Coaching Excellence, and recommends it to anyone looking to improve their ability to coach.
Most importantly, beyond the court, Laramie enjoys quality time with his amazing wife Molly and their two boys Emerson and Elliott.
