A coach with over 20 years experience from grass roots up to elite level, Ash is passionate about helping both players and coaches achieve their potential. With significant experience working with elite athletes, junior players, building talent development pathways and coach education/mentoring, most recently I was a national coach for GB Wheelchair Tennis.
In this role which saw me travel the world and attend the Paralympic Games and grand slams; captain my country at World Team Cup on 6 occasions (the wheelchair tennis equivalent of the Davis/Fed Cup), taking third place in 2012 and winning it in 2013 with the junior team and winning a bronze medal as captain of the women’s team in 2018.
Prior to my role as a national coach at the TF/LTA he was a racquets manager for the David Lloyd Group, managing the racquets programme at the Swindon club and before that as a county coach in Gloucestershire, working with county players across many age groups.
Having worked with some of the very best practitioners in world sport – coaches, psychologists, nutritionists, strength coaches, physio’s etc he is now using his knowledge and expertise to help the players, coaches & venues across the EKT network.
Leadership is not juts about being a leader of people but also about forging the way for others to follow. Taking a leader means “Skating to where the puck will be!” This presentations looks at modern leadership principles than can be applied to our everyday lives as coaches. View
